Interannual Variability in Carbon Balance of Farmland Ecosystems in Chongqing Municipality
In order to promote the development of modern mountainous green, efficient and low-carbon agriculture in Chongqing, based on Chongqing's main crop production input and main crop output data from 2010 to 2020,an estimation study was conducted on the carbon absorption, carbon emissions and carbon footprint of Chongqing's farmland ecosystem, and its influencing factors were analyzed. The results showed that:① During the period 2010-2020,the carbon emissions of Chongqing's farmland ecosystem in 2015 were 153.24 × 104t,an increase of 8.25%compared with 2010,but it decreased to 143.72 × 104t in 2020,and the carbon emissions showed a clear trend. There is a trend of decrease after increase, with the use of chemical fertilizers accounting for the largest proportion of carbon emissions, accounting for 56.6%;② The carbon absorption of farmland ecosystem in Chongqing is generally stable with a slight decrease, gradually decreasing from 1010.35×104t to 942.49×104t.A-mong them, the carbon absorption contribution of rice occupies a dominant position, accounting for 41.1%of the total farmland carbon absorption. However,it is still declining at an average annual rate of 0.58%;③ Chongqing's farmland ecosystem has a large ecological surplus, reaching 286.06 × 104hm2 in 2020,an overall increase of 6.29%,and the annual change in carbon footprint per unit area remains stable, fluctuating around 0.15 hm2·hm-2.In conclusion,Chongqing's carbon sequestration efficiency has been gradually improved. The focus still needs to reduce and increase the efficiency of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and plastic films, optimize local crop planting models, including intercropping, cultivating improved varieties, etc.,and continue to strengthen the role of farm-land ecosystems in maintaining ecological barriers.
