Study on Understory Vegetation Diversity of Cunninghamia lanceolata Mixed Forest
The understory vegetation diversity of Cunninghamia lanceolata forest, mixed Cunninghamia lanceolata and Cinnamomum camphora,as well as mixed Cunninghamia lanceolata and Schima superba in Dongtaishan Na-tional Forest Park of Hunan Province was studied. The results showed that the diversity of shrub layer in broad-leaved mixed forests was the highest among the four models, and the diversity of shrub layer in mixed coniferous and broadleaved forests was higher than that in Cunninghamia lanceolata forest;in general, the richness, diversity and evenness of mixed Cunninghamia lanceolata and Cinnamomum camphora in two types of coniferous and broadleaved forests were higher than that in mixed Cunninghamia lanceolata and Schima superba;the diversity of herb layer in plantation forests of the four types of forests showed a trend of Cunninghamia lanceolata forest being higher than that of mixed forests, with the highest in Cunninghamia lanceolata forest forests, the lowest in broad-leaved mixed forests, and the lowest in two types of fir mixed forests. The mixed forest of mixed Cunninghamia lanceolata and Cinnamomum camphora was higher than that of mixed Cunninghamia lanceolata and Schima su-perba.The overall trend of plantation forest plant diversity was that the shrub layer>herbaceous layer. The o-verall trend of plantation forest plant diversity was shrub layer>herb layer. This shows that the mixed manage-ment of Cunninghamia lanceolata and Cinnamomum camphora can promote the growth and development of un-derstory vegetation in Cunninghamia lanceolata forests.
