Study on Slope Protection Characteristics of Festuca elata and Bluegrass Highways in Eastern Liaoning Province
With the rapid development of highways in China, the developed slopes need the corresponding grass seed to prevent soil erosion and environmental protection. In this paper, the slope protection characteristics of Fes-tuca elata and bluegrass were analyzed through the coverage, growth amount, drought resistance, barren resistance, soil disintegration, root biomass and dust retention. The maximum coverage of the two grasses was 98%and 99%from August to September, and the maximum growth rate was 70~100 d.The drought resistance and barren re-sistance were both strong, and the total root biomass was 84.06g and 52.96g,respectively.The dust retention and soil collapse resistance of the Festuca elata were better than that of bluegrass. The coverage, growth, root biomass and root biomass of the two grasses play an obvious role in soil and water conservation.Their drought resistance and barren resistance make the grasses more easily planted on the slope, and the dust retention characteristics can significantly improve the surrounding air quality.Herbaceous slope protection has obvious advantages.Slope pro-tection should be as far as possible to choose two kinds of herb slope protection;single herb slope protection should choose Festuca elata more suitable.
