Analysis of Spatiotemporal Changes in Carbon Storage in the Western Region of Jilin Province From 2000 to 2020
Based on the ArcGIS and InVEST models,the carbon storage in the western region of Jilin Province is calculated.The evaluation units are vegetation cover types,and four basic carbon pools are calculated:aboveground carbon,belowground carbon,soil carbon,and dead organic carbon.By comparing the temporal and spatial characteristics of carbon storage in the western region of Jilin Province from 2000 to 2020,the concentra-tion,degree of change,and trend of carbon storage,as well as the relationship between this change and the eco-logical environment change in the western region are analyzed and the reasons for the change are summarized.O-verall,the carbon storage in Baicheng has increased,while in Songyuan it has decreased.At the county and city level,Da'an City has shown the greatest increase in carbon storage in 2020,while Songyuan City has shown the greatest decrease.
