Analysis of Characteristrics and Changes of Total Nitrogen Pollution in the Fuzhou River Basin
Through historical data collection, watershed research, and on-site monitoring, the spatiotemporal concentration changes of total nitrogen in the Fuzhou River Basin were comprehensively analyzed, revealing the total nitrogen concentration at different times.Since 2004,the average total nitrogen at the section of the Fuzhou River entering the sea(Santaizi)has been between 0.28 and 8.89mg/L,showing an overall fluctuating upward trend. The monthly average of total nitrogen concentration shows a significant"V"-shaped variation throughout the year, with high values at both ends(spring and winter)and low values in the middle(summer and autumn). The annual variation of total nitrogen concentration is the result of the combined effects of temperature,precipi-tation,and various pollution sources. The total nitrogen concentration shows a significant negative correlation with temperature changes, with a correlation coeffiicient of-0.769.The higher the temperature, the lower the total nitrogen concentration. The lower the temperature, the higher the total nitrogen concentration. The total ni-trogen concentration is negatively correlated with precipitation, with a correlation coefficient of-0.477.Precip-itation has a more dominant dilution effect on total nitrogen concentration. In the total nitrogen concentration of the Santaizi section of the Fuzhou River, nitrate nitrogen concentration accounts for a relatively large proportion, especially after 2019,the proportion has basically reached over 80%.
