Impact of Foundry Ecological Factories on Regional Water Environment
Taking the water environment of the casting factory area in Yunfu City as the survey object, this study aims to evaluate the potential impact of pollution discharge from newly built ecological casting factories on the environment.Based on the methods of geographic information system(GIS)analysis, water quality monitoring and analysis, and establishment and prediction of wastewater discharge models,CODcr(chemical oxygen de-mand),NH3-N(ammonia nitrogen),and fluoride are selected as monitoring indicators, and a prediction model is established to analyze the potential impact of wastewater discharge on the water environment. The results show that the data of the pollution source emission accounting section located 1m downstream of the planned new eco-logical foundry factory discharge outlet are:the maximum concentration of CODcr is 12.11952mg/L;the maximum concentration of ammonia nitrogen is 0.75045mg/L,and the maximum concentration of fluoride is 0.2468 1mg/L,all of which meet the requirements. This study helps enterprises evaluate the potential impact of wastewater dis-charge on regional water environment and accurately assess the impact of new enterprises on water environment, which provides necessary support and decision-making basis for protecting water environment, managing risks, and ensuring compliant operation of enterprises.
