Application of Suzhou Garden Plant Configuration Techniques in Residential Communities in the Middle Reach of Yangtze River—Taking the Jingzhou Quchi Dongyuan Residential Complex as an Example
As a model of classical gardens in China,Suzhou Garden is unique in its artistic style and gardening techniques.In order to further strengthen the research on Suzhou Garden,and provide a reference for plant land-scaping in other residential neighborhoods in the middle reaches of Yangtze River,this paper takes the first phase of Jingzhou Quchi East Courtyard project as an example,comprehensively uses literature review,case study,field research and other methods to analyze the application of Suzhou Garden plant configuration techniques in Quchi East Courtyard,and explores new paths and application methods for the integration of garden culture in the new era.The results show that a total of 85 plant species,belonging to 49 families and 66 genera,were selected for the project;the plant configuration techniques adopted include:"to raise and to lower first","to see the big with the small","to realize the real and the virtual",etc.;the classic configuration modes include:banana and bamboo matc-hing,zelkova in the front and park in the back,etc.The overall planting layout adopts the natural plants and the natural plants in the garden.The overall planting layout adopts a combination of natural plants and pruned plants,which is more concise and clearer than that of Suzhou Garden.
