Investigation and Evaluation of Ornamental and Adaptability of Six Garden Plants in Enshi City
To screen garden plants suitable for planting in Enshi City and analyze their ornamental and adaptabili-ty,the growth characteristics of Bougainia Angus,Bougainia Tongan Red,freesia,Brassica oleracea var.,Hya-cinthus orientalis L.and Paeonia lactiflora Pall.were investigated,and the ornamental and adaptability indexes of the garden were evaluated comprehensively.Results:After 1 year of observation and record,the comprehensive e-valuation was divided according to grades.Bougainvillea Angus,Bougainia Tongan Red and freesia belonged toⅠ;Paeonia lactiflora Pall.and Hyacinthus orientalis L.belonged to Ⅱ;Brassica oleracea var.belonged to Ⅲ.The comprehensive evaluation of adaptability of Bougainvillea Angus,Bougainia Tongan Red and Paeonia lactiflora Pall.belongs to Ⅰ;freesia and Hyacinthus orientalis belong to Ⅱ,and Brassica oleracea var.belongs to Ⅲ.The ornamental value and adaptive ability of Bougainia Angus,Bougainia Tongan Red and freesia are relatively good,which are suitable for the promotion and application of garden landscape in Enshi City.
