Study on Growth and Soil Characteristics of Phoebe bournei-Cunninghumia lanceolata Mixed Forest
Based on the decline of the wild population of Phoebe bournei, research on artificial cultivation and re-production of Phoebe bournei is urgent, and mixed forests are currently the main means of forest management. This paper takes the mixed forest of Phoebe bournei and Cunninghumia lanceolata as an example to study its growth and soil characteristics. The results show that the height of the trees in the mixed forest of Phoebe bournei and Cunninghumia lanceolata is 16.7%and 12.7%higher than that of the pure forest. The diameter at breast height is 6.5%and 6%higher.The crown width is 12.5%and 9.5%higher,and the height under the branches is 25.0%and 20.0%higher,respectively;The biomass of Phoebe bournei is 77.7 t/hm2,which is 43.1%higher than that of pure forests; The Cunninghumia lanceolata is 55.7 t/hm2,which is 36.2%higher than the pure forest; In mixed forests, the leaf yield of Phoebe bournei and Cunninghumia lanceolata is 17.2%and 3.2%higher than that of pure forests, and the chlorophyll content is 18.9%and 7.1%higher than that of pure forests, which is more conducive to photosynthesis; The nitrogen content in the leaves of Phoebe bournei and Cunninghumia lanceolata is 1.9%and 5.7%higher than that of the pure forest, respectively. The K2O content is 34.4%and 5.3%higher than that of the pure forest, and the P2O5,CaO,and MgO content in the mixed forest and the pure forest are basi-cally the same; The content of organic matter and other nutrients in the soil of mixed forests is higher than that of pure forests.Among them, the organic matter of mixed forests increased by 32.0%compared to pure forests of Phoebe bournei, and respectively the total N,total P,available P,and K increased by 23.1%,19.4%,3.8%,and 2.3%.The mixture of Phoebe bournei and Cunninghumia lanceolata can effectively improve the growth of Phoebe bournei, and improve the soil characteristics, which is conducive to the growth and development of Phoebe bour-nei.
