A Study on the Effects of Deep Pit Planting Techniques for Poplar Trees in Sandy Land of Zhangwu County on the Survival Rate and Branch Growth of Seedlings
This study established a correlation equation by setting up four large plots in a mechanical forest farm, each of which was divided into four small groups. The four plots were prepared using a bright leveling method and different planting depths of poplar trees were set.The correlation analysis between different planting depths of poplar trees and the survival rate and branch growth of the current year was conducted, and a correlation equation was established. It was found that:①there is no relationship between the survival rate and branch growth of the current year, and the survival rate and branch growth of seedlings are two connected stages. Therefore, there is no correlation between the survival rate and branch growth of seedlings in the current year.② As the depth of land preparation increases, the moisture content in the soil will gradually increase. Therefore,as the depth of land prep-aration increases, the stress of soil moisture content on seedlings during the slow seedling stage after planting gradually decreases, resulting in an increase in the survival rate of seedlings with the depth of land preparation.③ By analyzing the correlation between planting depth and the survival rate and branch growth of the current year,it was concluded that the survival rate and branch growth of seedlings increase within a certain range with the increase of soil preparation depth.④ Different land preparation methods also have an impact on seedlings. For newly planted forests, mechanical deep pit preparation is more suitable for seedlings in terms of survival rate and branch growth compared to hole preparation.
