Study on Nutritional Diagnosis of Leaf Tissue in Spring Shoot Stage of Camellia oleifera'Cenruan'in Guangxi
Camellia oleifera is an important economic forest tree species, and its camellia oil can be processed into high-grade vegetable oil, known as"liquid soft gold".However,Camellia oleifera currently faces the development dilemma of low yield.Relevant studies have found that this may be related to the nutritional balance status of Ca-mellia oleifera trees. In order to improve the yield of Camellia oleifera, this study aimed to explore the suitable ranges of mineral element contents in leaves of Camellia oleifera forests with different yields in the central region of Guangxi,China, and to identify the order of fertilizer requirements. In this study, leaves from mature Camellia oleifera forests(Cenruan-3)in the spring shoot period were collected from five counties and townships in the cen-tral region of Guangxi. The DOP(Deviation percentage method)and other methods were used to conduct nutri-tional diagnosis on 11 nutrients(N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Mn,B,Fe,Cu,Zn,Na)in the leaves of Camellia oleifera.Re-sults:The suitable ranges of Zn and Cu elements in Camellia oleifera leaves were found to be higher than those reported in previous studies. The yield of Camellia oleifera leaves may be related to trace elements B,Na,and Cu,which could be the key factors limiting the growth of high, medium, and low-yield Camellia oleifera forests. In addition, the low yield of Camellia oleifera leaves in low-yield forests may be partially related to excessive B con-tent.The nutritional balance of leaves in the high-yield group was superior to that in the medium and low-yield groups. The order of fertilizer requirements in the high-yield group was B>Ca>Mn>Fe>Zn>Na,while in the medium-yield group,it was Na>B>Mn>Fe>K>P>Mg.In the low-yield group, the fertilization order was Cu>K>Mg>N>Zn>P.Different fertilization strategies should be applied according to the yield level of Camel-lia oleifera forests. For elements lacking in Camellia oleifera forests, such as B,Na,and Cu,more fertilization should be considered. On the other hand, for elements that are excessive in Camellia oleifera, the amount of fertili-zation should be reduced.
