Suitability Evaluation of Urban Construction Land in Southwestern Mountainous Areas Based on GIS Spatial Analysis Method—A Case Study of Panzhou City
This paper evaluates the adaptability of urban construction land in the southwestern mountainous area of Panzhou City, which provides theoretical value reference for urban planning, land development, and boundary delineation of urban development in the southwestern mountainous area and Panzhou City.Based on its natural environment and the actual situation of Panzhou City, four factors including elevation, terrain slope, terrain aspect, and terrain undulation were selected for comprehensive evaluation using GIS spatial analysis method. The suita-bility evaluation level of urban construction land is mainly low and lower, with the area of low-level areas ac-counting for 56.27%of the total area, and the area of lower-level areas accounting for 20.88%of the total area. The suitability evaluation level of residential urban construction land is mainly based on low and lower levels, with low level areas accounting for 73.96%of the total area and lower-level areas accounting for 14.68%of the total area. The evaluation results reveal the suitability evaluation levels and spatial distribution characteristics of urban construction land and residential urban construction land in Panzhou City.Among them, there are relatively few lands with high suitability and high-grade urban construction and residential urban construction land, and high-grade land only accounts for about 1%of the entire area. Therefore, when using land in this grade area,it is necessary to cherish and utilize this type of land.
