Analysis of Vegetation Diversity in the Liangucheng National Nature Reserve,Minqin,Gansu
Liangucheng National Nature Reserve is a designated area for the conservation of desert-type ecosys-tems.The objective is to investigate the diversity characteristics of the delicate natural vegetation community in deserts and its correlation with environmental factors,aiming to provide valuable insights for maintaining the sta-bility of desert ecosystems and safeguarding their unique species.In order to achieve this objective,a comprehen-sive investigation on plant resources within Liangucheng National Nature Reserve is conducted.The structural characteristics of typical plant communities are analyzed and their relationship with various environmental factors are examined using species diversity analysis,correlation analysis,and principal component analysis.The vegeta-tion types within the protected area consisted of four vegetation type groups,five vegetation types,six vegetation subtypes,and 21 vegetation groups.A total of 252 seed plant species belonging to 36 families and 142 genera are identified.These plants primarily belonged to temperate desert flora with a simple layer structure dominated by shrubs and semi-shrubs.Twelve representative plant groups were distributed,exhibiting a Simpson index ranging from 0.73 to 1.25.The Shannon-Wiener index displayed a range of 1.85 to 2.93,while the Margalef index varied between 1.62 and 4.65.Pielou's evenness demonstrated values ranging from 0.67 to 0.91.The composition and di-versity of flora are influenced by various environmental factors such as average annual temperature,average annu-al precipitation,latitude longitude coordinates,and soil conditions.Among the 12 plant species,the Simpson index of Nitraria tangutorum Bobrov community is the smallest,while the Shannon-Wiener index and Pielou evenness are the largest.The Margalef index indicated a significantly higher diversity for Kalidium foliatum community,whereas ephedra displayed notably poorer diversity.Pearson correlation analysis revealed that average annual temperature and average annual precipitation exerted significant influence on all factors.
