Analysis and Control of the Main Air Pollution of Badong County
From 2020 to 2023,the percentage of days with excellent air quality in Badong County,Enshi Prefec-ture,were 98.1%,98.9%,97.8%,and 96.7%respectively.However,the average annual concentration of major pollutants PM25 was 21,19,26,26 μg/m3 respectively, indicating a downward trend in environmental air quality. This paper analyzes the main factors influencing the environmental air quality in Badong County from the geo-graphical location, meteorological data, and the Air Quality Index(AQI)of cities in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area. The results indicate that the valley terrain of Badong County and its unique geographical location in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, along with factors such as high air humidity and low wind speeds, hinder the dis-persion,dilution,and deposition of atmospheric pollutants.Recommendations are proposed to address these issues, including implementing cross-regional joint prevention and control measures, advancing deep treatment of air pol-lution,and establishing early warning mechanisms to prevent severe pollution weather. These suggestions provide a scientific basis for future efforts to prevent and control air pollution in Badong County.
