Study on Avian Community Structure in the Artificial Wetland of Tangpu Reservoir
This study conducted a survey and analysis of the bird communities in the Tangpu Reservoir artificial wetland. The survey identified 37 species of birds across 9 orders and 13 families, with the Ciconiiformes and Pas-seriformes orders and the Heron family being predominant.Resident birds accounted for 70.3%of the species sur-veyed,while widely distributed birds made up 40.5%.Waterbirds were the main category, representing 62.2%of the species, with waders and swimming birds being the most common types.Diversity analysis indicated that bird diversity was highest in summer and lowest in winter. The study highlighted human activity, reduced vegetation diversity, and water level fluctuations as the main factors affecting bird populations.Conservation recommenda-tions include increasing monitoring and protection efforts, enhancing ecological restoration, focusing on water conservation, and strengthening the promotion of bird conservation knowledge. The findings are intended to guide the management and conservation of artificial wetlands and promoting bird diversity and ecological balance.
