Application of Shallow Pile Planting Method in Rescue Transplantation of Ficus Virens
In order to protect 7 ancient Ficus virens in the resettlement area affected by the Baihetan Hydropower Station, rescue transplantation of Ficus virens was carried out by carefully investigating the original site factors and selecting the nearest transplantation site.Combining the biological and ecological characteristics of Ficus vi-rens,the"shallow pit pile planting method"is used for transplantation. The results showed that the transplant sur-vival rate was 100%,and the transplant preservation rate was 100%after 1 year. The principle of salvage trans-plantation of ancient trees is to adhere to near ground transplantation.During transplantation, tree body treatment measures such as root and crown pruning, wound treatment, and transplanting with soil balls should be taken, and management should be effectively strengthened after transplantation.Especially, the"shallow pit pile planting method"meets the physiological needs of Ficus virens for sufficient ventilation, which is the most critical techni-cal measure in Ficus virens transplantation.
