Research on the Measurement and Regional Difference of China's Industrial Green Development Level Under the Goal of"Dual Carbon"
Under the"double carbon"goal, industrial green development is not only the sole path to achieve high-quality industrial growth but also a strategic choice in response to a new wave of scientific and technological rev-olution that promotes high-quality economic development.Drawing on China's provincial panel data from 2011 to 2021,this study constructs an evaluation system for industrial green development and employs the entropy method to measure and analyze its level and fundamental characteristics.Additionally,it utilizes the Dagum Gini coeffi-cient decomposition method and nuclear density estimation method to assess regional disparities and dynamic dis-tribution patterns of industrial green development. The findings reveal that:firstly, both nationwide and across three regions, significant progress has been made in industrial green development with a regional imbalance char-acterized by higher levels in the east compared to lower levels in the west;secondly, there is a gradual narrowing of gaps between provinces'industrial green development,as western provinces begin leveraging their latecomer advantage;thirdly,inter-regional differences emerge as the primary driver behind variations in China's industrial green development while intra-regional differences within the eastern region exhibit signs of polarization.
