Research Progress on Spatial Distribution and Ecological Functions of Plateau Wetlands in China
This paper studies the spatial distribution and ecological functions of highland wetlands in China, and analyzes their ecological functions such as water resource regulation, biodiversity conservation, carbon storage and climate regulation, and soil conservation.Through detailed description of the geographical location, climatic conditions and water sources of the plateau wetlands,it points out their importance and the threats and disturb-ances they are subject to.In order to protect the ecosystem and biodiversity, the paper proposes conservation measures and emphasizes the importance of global cooperation for the conservation of plateau wetlands and the challenges of climate change. The main objective of the study is to explore the ecological functions of plateau wetlands and the conservation and management countermeasures by using methods such as literature review and case study analysis. The results of the study show that plateau wetlands play an important role in water resource regulation, biodiversity maintenance, carbon storage and climate regulation, but face threats from human activities. Therefore, this paper concludes that highland wetlands in China are widely distributed and have significant func-tions,which are crucial for ecological balance and biodiversity, but they are threatened by degradation due to the impacts of climate change and human activities, and are in urgent need of protection and restoration.Enhanced conservation measures and global cooperation are essential for the ecological protection of highland wetlands. This study puts forward effective recommendations for the conservation and management of plateau wetlands. It is recommended to strengthen the methodological research on the assessment of the ecosystem service value of plat-eau wetlands,to use remote sensing and GIS technology to accurately monitor the dynamics of wetlands,to deep-en the research on wetland ecology in the context of global change, and to promote multidisciplinary cross-disci-plinary cooperation,in order to promote the scientific management and sustainable utilization of plateau wetlands.
