Study on the Adsorption Efficiency of Modified Polystyrene Resin for Heavy Metal Wastewater
The ultra-high crosslinked polystyrene resin JL was synthesized from chloromethylated polystyrene res-in(chlorine sphere)and modified with salicylic acid to obtain the modified polystyrene resin JL-BHA.The infra-red spectrum of JL-BHA was analyzed, and the adsorption efficiency of JL-BHA dosage, temperature, and initial concentration of heavy metal Cu2+on heavy metal wastewater was studied. The results showed that the synthesis of JL-BHA was successful. When the dosage of JL-BHA increased from 0.01 g to 0.1 g,the removal of Cu2+first increased and then stabilized, and the adsorption capacity of Cu2+gradually decreased. The highest removal rate of Cu2+was 84.58%.As the initial concentration of Cu2+increased,the adsorption capacity of JL-BHA for Cu2+also gradually increased, but the removal rate of Cu2+gradually decreased, and the effect of temperature on Cu2+re-moval was relatively small.
