Research on Environmental Damage Assessment of a Solid Waste Dumping Event Based on Hydrodynamic Numerical Simulation
The appraisal and assessment of environmental damage is an important basis for ecological environment management.Taking a solid waste dumping site in Ma'anshan He County as the study area, and taking the soil and groundwater test results of the adjacent area of the unpolluted environment as the baseline, the damage was quan-tified based on the causal relationship and hydrodynamic numerical simulation, and the damage appraisal and as-sessment were carried out.The restoration plan was proposed to calculate the environmental restoration cost. The results showed that the concentrations of sulfate, total hardness, manganese, total dissolved solids(TDS)and chlo-ride in the groundwater in the study area exceeded the baseline level, and the environmental damage was con-firmed.Based on the hydrodynamic numerical simulation, the total area of groundwater pollution is 8600 m2.The total static pumping volume is about 20197.06m3,and the quantified cost of environmental damage value in the study area is 1183151.41 yuan. The research results can provide a scientific basis and comprehensive management strategy for the subsequent site remediation and management, pollution liability determination and damage com-pensation.
