Effects of Soil Extract From Quartz Tailings on Germination Characteristics of Grass Seeds
In order to explore the effects of soil soluble substance concentration and pH on the germination of grass seeds in quartz tailings, five kinds of gramineous forages were used as experimental materials.Deionized water, soil stock solution, soil stock solution diluted by 2 times,5 times and 10 times were adopted, and the pH of soil stock solution was adjusted to 4,5,6 and 7.The relative germination rate, relative germination potential,rela-tive germination index, relative vigor index, relative seedling height and relative root length were used as evalua-tion indexes, and the average membership function was used for comprehensive evaluation. The results showed that the membership function D values of Sorghum bicolor,Sorghum bicolor× sudanense,Purus frumentum and Pennisetum hydridum were 0.64,0.59,0.67 and 0.68,respectively,when the soil extract of different concentrations were diluted 2 times. The membership function D value of Pennisetum alopecuroides was higher at 5 times dilu-tion,which was 0.51.Under the soil extract of different pH mining areas, the membership function D value of Pennisetum alopecuroides was higher at pH 4,which was 0.77;the membership function D value of Zea mexicana was higher at pH 6,which was 0.86.The research results provide a theoretical basis for the introduction and plant-ing of gramineous forage grass in quartz tailings.
