Community Structural Characteristics of Periphyton and Water Quality Assessments in Zhangjiajie Section of Lishui River Basin
In order to obtain the community structure characteristics of periphyton in Zhangjiajie section of Lishui River Basin,the investigation of periphyton were carried out in 15 monitoring sites in the basin in spring and au-tumn of 2023.A total of 71 species of periphyton were detected in the basin,belonging to 4 phyla and 44 genera.The average density and biomass were 4.17×106 cells/cm2 and 2.78 mg/cm2 in spring,and 1.94×106 cells/cm2 and 0.30 mg/cm2 in autumn,respectively.The mean values of Shannon-Wiener index,Simpson diversity index and Pielou evenness index in spring were 1.778,0.726,and 0.429,respectively,and those in autumn were 1.088,0.507,and 0.288,respectively.The values of the three indexes in spring were significantly higher than those in autumn.In both spring and autumn,the diversities of tributaries were higher than that of main streams.In spring,the TDI index of each monitoring sample was 43.10 to 71.86,with an average value of 60.99,indicating that the water body was in a eutrophication state.The average TDI index of tributaries was 59.24,and the tributaries were in the medi-um trophic state.The mean value of the main stream was 63.62,and it was in eutrophic state.In autumn,the TDI index of all monitoring samples of algae ranged from 37.50 to 68.58,and the overall average value was 55.38,indi-cating that the water body was in a medium trophic state.The average TDI index of the tributaries was 57.10 and that of the main stream was 54.48,both of which were in the medium trophic state.
