Effects of Short-Term Nitrogen Addition on Plant Community of Grassland
This present study was to explore plant community abundance and height under short-term-nitrogen ni-trogen addition in grassland ecosystems.Leymus secalinus and Puccinellia tenuiflora were used for this study and four levels of N(0,5,10,15 gN/m2)as fertilization gradients. The growth characteristics of plant community to different months was analyzed in order to discuss the effect of nitrogen addition. The results showed that:① The abundance and height of plant community increases along with the increased months;② Short-term nitrogen ad-dition significantly increased the community abundance of Leymus secalinus, but significantly reduced the com-munity abundance of Puccinellia tenuiflora;③ Short-term nitrogen addition increased the plant community height of Leymus secalinus and Puccinellia tenuiflora. Therefore, plant community were affected by short-term nitrogen addition.A theoretical basis was provided by the results for promoting grassland ecological recovery.
