Detailed Investigation and Risk Control of Soil Pollution in a Nonferrous Metal Smelting Enterprise
In order to explore the detailed investigation of soil pollution situation and the implementation of risk control measures in the production enterprises,38 soil sites and 4 groundwater monitoring wells were distributed in a nonferrous metal smelting enterprise in southwest China. The detailed investigation results show that the en-terprise is in three soil levels of 0~0.5,0.5~2.0 m and 2.0~4.0 m.The vanadium content of 11 samples at 9 sites exceeds the screening value of the second type of land, and 8 samples at 7 sites exceed the control value of the second type of land. The heavy metal cobalt in one surface sample was higher than the screening value of the sec-ond type of land and lower than the control value of the second type of land. The risk assessment of the plots showed that both vanadium and cobalt exceeded the acceptable risk levels, with the risk control values of 752,70 mg/kg;Finally,from the aspects of technical applicability, maturity and economic cost,it is proposed that the con-crete with thickness not less than 20cm should be used to block and harden the risk control in the key area of 14911.08m2,and regularly carry out the investigation of potential soil pollution hazards, soil and groundwater mo-nitoring.
