Study on the Characteristics of Atmospheric VOCs Pollution and O3 Generation Potential in High O3 Months in Xingyi City
To explore the characteristics of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)and the potential for O3 generation when O3 concentration is high or exceeds the standard in Xingyi City, samples of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in the atmospheric environment during months with high O3 concentration in Xingyi City were collected, and 55 VOCs were quantified by using an atmospheric pre concentration system combined with GC/MS technolo-gy.Comparative analysis was conducted on the pollution characteristics of VOCs in different months. The O3 gen-eration potential of atmospheric VOCs is estimated by using Maximum Incremental Reactivity(MIR).The results showed that when O3 is relatively high in Xingyi City, the mass concentration ratio of VOCs showed:Alkanes>Olefins>Aromatics;Alkanes are mainly composed of ethane, isobutane, butane, and isopentane;Olefins mainly consist of ethylene and butene;Aromatic hydrocarbons mainly consist of benzene, toluene, and ethylbenzene;Based on the B/T value judgment, there is a certain diffusion and transmission of VOCs in the urban atmosphere. The contribution of each component in atmospheric VOCs to O3 varies, with the highest being olefins, followed by aromatic and alkanes. The components that contribute significantly to the formation potential of O3 are mainly ethylene,n-butene,trans-2-butene,cis-2-butene,isoprene,m-xylene,o-xylene,isobutane,butane,and isopentane.
