Analysis and Development Plan of the Current Situation of Gansu's New Energy Industry Based on the"Dual Carbon"Goal
To achieve the national strategic goal of"carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,"Gansu Province must drive the transformation of its energy structures and the development of its new energy industry.Gansu is rich in solar and wind resources,which provides unique geographical and resource advantages for the development of its new energy sector.This paper analyzes the current state of Gansu's new energy industry by examining the devel-opment status of the province's power grid,current conditions of new energy development and utilization,existing problems,and suggestions for further growth.The study finds that the new energy generation capacity of Gansu Province has reached 20 million kilowatts,accounting for 45%of the total power generation capacity.However,due to insufficient grid transmission capacity,about 20%of the new energy generation cannot be effectively uti-lized,leading to a waste of resources.Despite the natural advantages for developing the new energy industry,Gan-su still faces challenges such as inadequate grid support and an insufficiently developed new energy consumption market.These issues constrain the industry's further and high-quality growth.Based on the above analysis,it is recommended that Gansu Province accelerate the upgrade and transformation of its power grid to improve the in-tegration and utilization rate of new energy.At the same time,the province should optimize the layout of new en-ergy development,expand and improve the new energy industry chain,enhance new energy technology innovation capabilities,and actively cultivate the new energy consumption market.This will enhance the industry's self-sup-porting capacity and market competitiveness,ultimately achieving the"dual carbon"goals smoothly.
