Analysis of the CHS Gene Family in Ornamental Peach
Chalcone synthase(CHS)is a key enzyme in the plant flavonoid biosynthetic pathway, playing a crucial role in the formation of floral colors in ornamental plants. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the PpCH-Ss gene family in ornamental peach and explore its molecular mechanisms in the formation of floral colors,provi-ding theoretical support for breeding.CHS protein sequences were obtained and compared using the Uniprot and GDR databases.Gene identification and chromosomal collinearity analysis were performed using TBtools.Phylo-genetic trees were constructed with MEGA 7.0,and protein conserved domains were analyzed using NCBI CDD.This confirmed 17 CHS homologous genes in ornamental peach, mainly distributed on chromosome G1.Collinear-ity analysis showed a one-to-many relationship between the ornamental peach CHS genes and Arabidopsis,reflec-ting gene family expansion. The phylogenetic tree categorized the genes into three groups, related to different functional specializations.Analysis of protein domains indicated conservation of function. This reveals the key role of the CHS gene family in the formation of floral colors in ornamental peach, providing a theoretical basis for gene editing and breeding, and promoting the development of the ornamental plant industry.
