Analysis of Plant Landscape Evaluation in Public Space Based on AHP-TOPSIS Method—Taking Panyu District as an Example
To construct an evaluation index system for plant landscape in public spaces, the quality of plant land-scapes in various types of public spaces in Panyu District,Guangzhou City is quantitatively assessed, which pro-vides a reference for enhancing the greening landscape level of urban public spaces. An evaluation index system for plant landscape in public spaces was established by using the AHP.The expert scoring method was used to score each index according to the 1~9 proportional scale method, and the weight of each index was determined.Utilizing the indicator weights determined by AHP,the TOPSIS was applied to comprehensively evaluate the plant landscapes of five typical public space categories in Panyu District:park green spaces, waterfront green spaces, residential green spaces, square green spaces, and corridor green spaces,to assess the quality of plant landscapes in these public spaces. The weights of indicators determined by AHP revealed that ecological benefits held the highest importance in the evaluation system, with a weight of 0.4983,followed by aesthetic value, while social benefits had the lowest weight. The TOPSIS evaluation results showed that park green spaces in Panyu District had the best plant landscape effects, followed by waterfront and square green spaces.Residential green spaces were moderate, and corridor green spaces performed poorly. This study, through systematic analysis, underscores the central role of ecological benefits in evaluating plant landscapes in public spaces and reveals an uneven status of plant landscape quality across public spaces in Panyu District.Park green spaces in Panyu District exhibit the highest quality of plant landscapes, whereas corridor green spaces present substantial room for improvement.
