Experiment and Influence Study on Several Restoration Measures of Degraded Pinus armandii Franch in Huashan
Observation experimental plots and reference plots in two degraded Pinus armandii Franch forests with different site conditions are set up.Comprehensive forest management measures such as thinning, pruning, and cutting and irrigating vines are adopted. The tree height, diameter at breast height, and volume growth of degraded Pinus armandii Franch forests for four consecutive years are surveyed and investigated, and the impact of this comprehensive restoration measure on the restoration of degraded Pinus armandii Franch forests is analyzed and compared. The results showed that the adoption of this comprehensive restoration measure had a significant im-pact on the diameter at breast height, height, and volume growth of degraded Pinus armandii Franch forests. The annual volume growth of degraded Pinus armandii Franch forests with this comprehensive restoration measure was 4.94 m3 higher per hectare than that of degraded Pinus armandii Franch forests without any restoration meas-ures.In the case of adopting this comprehensive restoration measure, there is a small difference in the impact of different site conditions on the degraded Pinus armandii Franch forest.
