Analysis of Carbon Footprint and Carbon Eco-efficiency of Farmland Ecosystem in Mianyang City
Farmland ecosystem has the dual characteristics of carbon source and carbon sink, which is an impor-tant part of terrestrial ecosystem. It is of great significance to explore the carbon footprint of farmland for the sus-tainable development of farmland ecosystem. In this study, the carbon footprint model and LMDI factor decompo-sition model of farmland ecosystem were constructed based on the data of farmland production input, crop yield and gross agricultural product in Mianyang City from 2002 to 2021.The spatial and temporal variation character-istics of carbon footprint and the driving factors of carbon eco-efficiency were discussed and suggestions were put forward. The results showed that:①From 2002 to 2021,the total carbon emission and carbon emission intensity of farmland ecosystem in Mianyang City showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing. In terms of spatial distribution, the total amount of carbon emissions shows a pattern of low in the north and high in the south;②The farmland ecosystem in Mianyang City has a strong carbon sink capacity.Except for 2006,the total carbon absorp-tion and carbon absorption intensity of the farmland ecosystem increased steadily year by year(1.84%).The con-tribution ratio of total carbon absorption of different crops was:rice(28.61%)>corn(24.00%)>rape(18.54%)>wheat(17.98%);③From 2002 to 2021,the carbon footprint of farmland ecosystem in Mianyang City was less than the area of cultivated land in that year. The average annual carbon footprint of cultivated land accounted for 20.30%,which was a carbon ecological surplus;④ Economic factors are the main driving factors for the im-provement of carbon eco-efficiency level of farmland ecosystem in Mianyang City. The contribution value of structural factors to carbon eco-efficiency is low,and labor factors and efficiency factors mainly inhibit the level of carbon eco-efficiency.⑤ It is recommended to optimize the use of agricultural materials such as chemical fer-tilizers,pesticides,and agricultural films, scientifically increase crop yields and adjust the planting structure to im-prove the level of green agriculture development.
