Research Progress on Biological Permeable Reactive Barrier
Biological permeable reaction barrier(BPRB)is a new in-situ remediation technology of soil and groundwater, which has become a hot research direction in this field. In order to further understand the research and application status of this technology, this paper systematically summarizes the relevant research in recent years. The types of BPRB technology, the methods of microbial immobilization, microbial strengthening and the application system of BPRB combined with other remediation technologies were analyzed in detail, and the main conclusions are as follows:① The repair effect of the hybrid microbial repair system was much higher than that of hetero-trophic and auto-trophic;② Carrier adsorption method and material embedding method have the best immobilization effect;③ Improving the effect of bio-stimulants while reducing the cost is the focus of current re-search;④ At present, the research on the bio-permeable reaction wall mostly focuses on the improvement of mi-crobial remediation efficiency, but there is a lack of research on the reactivity and mechanism of microorganisms in the actual site.It is suggested that the next step should be to build a microbial remediation system with stronger environmental adaptability,so as to better promote the engineering application of BPBR technology.
