Research on Optimal Hydrological Benefits Based on LID Facilities
The development of urbanization has resulted in rapid growth of impervious surfaces in cities,destro-ying the original permeability of the hydrological environment to rainwater runoff, thus causing the frequent oc-currence of problems such as urban flooding and runoff pollution.LID facilities(Low Impact Development Facili-ties),through the use of restoration of the ecological hydrology, have become an effective solution to the problems of waterlogging, runoff pollution, etc.,by means of source control measures, such as green roofs, rain gardens, permeable pavements, and other facilities, especially for highly urbanized areas with built underground drainage systems. The main objective of this study is to implement LID facilities in urban areas to improve their stormwater system and restore its natural flow regime. In order to achieve this objective, different scenarios of LID facilities, including single LID facilities and combined LID facilities, were simulated by SWMM model. The results show that the runoff control rate is only 44.1%~46.3%and the SS load reduction rate is only 51.9%~55.1%when the single LID facility is fully paved at 15%of the total paving ratio, and the optimization effect is significant when all three facilities are used with a maximum runoff control rate of 78.5%and a maximum SS load reduction rate of 81.2%.
