Investigation and Characteristic Analysis of Ancient Tree Resources in Changning City
Ancient trees are living relics and a precious heritage of nature with unique cultural,historical,and eco-logical values.Taking the existing ancient tree resources in Changning City as the object,combined with the field investigation data,the data statistical analysis method and ArcGIS were applied respectively to analyze the species characteristics of ancient trees,structural characteristics(DBH,tree height and crown width),the correlation be-tween tree age and tree growth structures,tree age characteristics,ownership characteristics and spatial distribution characteristics.The results show that there are 513 ancient trees in Changning city,including 40 genera under 23 families,among which the dominant species are Cinnamomum Camphora and Liquidambar formosana Hance;In terms of structural characteristics,the overall analysis of tree height,chest size and crown amplitude are in line with the normal distribution;The age of ancient trees has the greatest correlation with diameter and has a positive correlation;Among the 480 ancient trees with clear property rights in Changning city,the number of ancient trees with collective property rights is the largest.The number of ancient trees with individual property rights is the second,and the number of ancient trees with state-owned property rights is the least;There are obvious differ-ences in the distribution density of ancient trees in Changning city,including 2 high-density areas and 4 sub-den-sity areas.Changning city is rich in ancient tree resources.
