Research on Measuring the Coordinated Development Level of Population Urbanization and Basic Public Services in Xining City
Exploring the level of coordinated development between population urbanization and basic public serv-ices in Xining City and diagnosing the influencing factors,can provide a reference and theoretical basis for the construction of new urbanization in Xining City.This study takes Xining City as the research object,uses CRITIC weighting method and coupling coordination model to calculate the comprehensive index of population urbaniza-tion and basic public services in Xining City in the past decade,as well as the coupling and coordination degree between the two systems.An obstacle model is introduced to explore the driving factors affecting population ur-banization and basic public services.The research results indicate that from 2010 to 2020,the urbanization level of population in Xining City showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,while the development level of basic public services showed a slow upward trend.The coupling coordination degree between the two showed a positive correlation from 2010 to 2017,and a negative correlation from 2017 to 2020.After the transitional period of approaching imbalance in 2010,both major systems have been in the coordination stage for the past decade,hovering between intermediate coordination and good coordination.Through obstacle factor diagnosis,it was found that the influencing factors of population urbanization and the development level of basic public services in Xining City have gone through a changing trend from initially dominated by industrial structure and economic life to dominated by education and social security,and then to dominated by industrial structure and education level.In the future urbanization construction process of Xining City,it is necessary to continue to improve the level of basic public services,keep up with the pace of population urbanization development,balance the two,and achieve the goal of sustainable urban development.The industrial structure of Xining City should be optimized according to local conditions;basic education construction should be implemented;the supply level of various service facili-ties should be improved;the implementation of social security and employment work should be concentrated,thereby improving the quality of life of residents,promoting population urbanization and basic public services to enter the advanced coordination stage.
