Sustainable Development Assessment of Tourism Cities Based on SDGs and Tourism Competitiveness Index——Taking Zhangjiajie City as an Example
The establishment of a technical system for evaluating the sustainable development of tourism-orien-ted cities is a key measure for scientifically identifying the development issues of such cities and quantitatively assessing their sustainable development status.Based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)framework and the standardized quantitative evaluation of tourism competitiveness index, this paper con-structs an evaluation index system for the sustainable development of tourism-oriented cities, consisting of three major systems, twelve pillars, and seventeen independent indicators. The method used for judgment is the index linear weighting method based on the coefficient of variation-entropy weight method.Additionally, technical methods such as coupling degree and coupling coordination analysis, grey relational analysis, and obstacle degree analysis are introduced to analyze the sustainable development level of Zhangjiajie City from 2011 to 2020,span-ning ten consecutive years. The conclusions are as follows:① The sustainable development of tourism-oriented cities relies on the joint development of the dominant role of the landscape resource system, the supportive role of the economic dynamic system, and the auxiliary role of the social governance system.② According to the matc-hing between SDGs and the sustainable development needs of Zhangjiajie City, the three major systems can be matched with the SDGs.③ The comprehensive level of sustainable development in Zhangjiajie City has reached the stage of moderate sustainable development, with the coupling coordination degree between systems gradually improving, indicating a positive overall development of sustainable development in Zhangjiajie City.
