Study on Influencing Factors and Collaborative Emission Reduction Pathways for Greenhouse Gas Net emissions in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region
This study focuses on the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region and uses panel data on net greenhouse gas emis-sions from 2001 to 2021 to construct a vector autoregressive model to reveal the internal dynamic response mecha-nism between net greenhouse gas emissions in Beijing,Tianjin, and Hebei.Industrial structures, urbanization lev-els,resident population density, economic development levels, and energy consumption intensity as influencing factors are further selected.Their pulse response relationship is explored, and their contribution level in the next 10 years is predicted. The research results show that the net greenhouse gas emissions in Tianjin and Hebei re-gions are positively affected by Beijing, while Hebei region is also positively affected by Tianjin, showing an o-verall trend of decline. In terms of influencing factors, the main influencing factors in Beijing are industrial struc-tures(contribution degree-5.956)and urbanization level(contribution degree-0.712);Tianjin is characterized by industrial structures(contribution rate-51.224)and economic development level(contribution rate+5.702);Hebei is characterized by industrial structures(contribution rate+20.544)and resident population density(contribution rate+26.042).Based on the above findings, the study proposes the following policy recommendations:The first is to leverage the role of Tianjin as a"link"and promote the steady development of energy conservation and emis-sion reduction in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region; The second is to pay attention to the uniqueness of regional development, while coordinating the exploration of common factors affecting regional net greenhouse gas emis-sions;The third is to attach importance to the primary and secondary contradictions, and promote high-quality de-velopment in energy conservation and emission reduction in Hebei region. These collaborative emission reduction paths aim to provide feasible strategies for regional sustainable development.
