Preliminary Investigation and Assessment of Bird Diversity in Jieyang Shande Meihai County Forest Park
In order to deeply understand the community composition and diversity of birds in the county Forest Park of Shande Meihai,Jieyang Puning,and lay a scientific foundation for the effective protection and reasonable planning of bird resources in the future,the survey team conducted three comprehensive bird resource surveys in the forest park from November 1 to November 25,2022.A total of 113 species of birds from 15 orders and 43 families were recorded in this survey.The salient features included:Passerines dominated,followed by Pelicans and cuculliformes;In terms of geographical distribution,the Oriental Kingdom has the most abundant species,fol-lowed by the widespread species,while the Palaearctic Kingdom has relatively few species.In terms of ecological habits,resident birds occupy the absolute majority,and the number of migratory birds is relatively small.With its dense vegetation coverage and diverse ecological environment,Shande Mehai Forest Park provides plenty of food sources and ideal habitat and breeding places for many birds.The abundant bird resources in this area not only en-rich the database of bird resources in Jieyang City,but also indicate that with the natural succession of vegetation in the park and the continuous improvement of public awareness of environmental protection,this area has great potential and value in maintaining bird biodiversity and promoting ecological balance.The park management de-partment should continue to strengthen the publicity of wildlife protection,and enhance the public's awareness and participation in the protection of birds and natural ecology through education and guidance,science popularization and other ways.At the same time,scientific planning and reasonable management should be combined to build a more perfect and harmonious ecosystem,ensure that Shande Meihai Forest Park becomes a paradise for birds to reproduce and live,and achieve the sustainable development goal of harmonious coexistence between man and na-ture.
