Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Ammonia Nitrogen Adsorption by Sediments in the Lanzhou Section of the Yellow River
Through laboratory simulation, the adsorption characteristics and influencing factors of sediments in the riparian zone of the Yellow River(Lanzhou section)on ammonia nitrogen were studied, which helped to reveal the characteristics of the"source"and"sink"of sediments in the adsorption of ammonia nitrogen and the role of natu-ral barriers. The research results showed that the adsorption reached equilibrium in 120 min,and the adsorption capacity reached 1200.19 mg/kg.At 15,20 and 25 ℃,ENC0 was 4.17,3.12 and 2.45mg/L,respectively.At 15,20 and 25 ℃,the maximum adsorption capacity Qm fitted by Langmuir model is 1868.57 mg/kg,2638.26 mg/kg and 3025.18 mg/kg,respectively.The adsorption effect of ammonia nitrogen is better under acidic conditions, and the maximum adsorption capacity is 1222.02 mg/kg under pH 5.The adsorption rate of ammonia nitrogen increases with the increase of disturbance frequency. When the disturbance frequency is 0,50,100,150 and 200 r/min,the adsorption rates are 25.5%,43.0%,50.6%,56.2%and 74.3%,respectively.With the increase of ammonia nitro-gen concentration, the adsorption rate of the sediment first increased and then decreased, and the adsorption rate reached an extreme value of 73.5%when the concentration was 10 mg/L.The R disturbance frequency(0.948)>R temperature(0.923)>RpH(-0.862)>R initial concentration(-0.321)was obtained by Pearson coefficient correlation analysis.
