Design and Analysis of a Protective Net Configuration for Demolished Overpass Railway Bridges
When demolishing an overpass railway bridge,it is necessary to effectively protect the existing operat-ing railway below. If safety measures are not in place,it is easy to trigger safety accidents.A protective net for de-molished railway bridges is proposed by utilizing the existing pier and column structures of the bridge to be de-molished,including crossbeams and steel cable nets installed on the piers of the bridge to be demolished. It uses the bridge pier to be demolished as a support point to tension a protective net under the bridge body. When the protective net catches the falling blocks,it can cause buffering and descent, effectively reducing the impact effect and destructive force of the falling blocks. The proposed protective net utilizes the piers and columns of the bridge beam to be demolished as pillars, fully utilizing the advantages of existing structures, such as convenience and speed, simple structures, easy assembly, low comprehensive cost, and short installation and dismantling time.It provides a simple and practical equipment for protecting the existing railway below the bridge beam to be dismantled.
