Study on the Effect of Aging Agricultural Labor Force on the Degree of Fertilizer Application of Farmers—A Case Study of Rice Farmers in Jiangxi Province
Based on the survey data of"one hundred villages and one thousand households"in Jiangxi Province in 2021,the binary logistic regression model was used to empirically analyze the impact of agricultural labor force aging on the degree of farmers'chemical fertilizer application, and further explore the moderating effect of agri-cultural socialization service and the mediating effect of agricultural labor input. The results show that the aging of agricultural labor force has a significant difference on the degree of farmers'fertilizer application, and the aging of agricultural labor force will significantly increase the degree of farmers'fertilizer application. The effect of ag-ing on the degree of fertilizer application of farmers will be moderated by agricultural socialization services, and participation in agricultural socialization services can inhibit the effect of aging on the degree of fertilizer applica-tion of farmers. The elderly labor force mainly increases the degree of fertilizer application by reducing agricultur-al labor input. Therefore,it is suggested to pay attention to the relevant skills training of agricultural labor force, continuously promote the socialization of agricultural services, improve the degree of rural mechanization,so as to achieve the ultimate goal of reducing the amount of chemical fertilizer.
