Spatial Characteristics of Settlements Along Huirao Ancient Road Based on GIS-sDNA model—A Case Study of Hongguan Village
Huirao Ancient Road,as an important traffic route connecting merchants between ancient Huizhou and ancient Raozhou,has rich cultural heritage and historical signifiicance.The settlements along the Huirao Ancient Road are an important part of the heritage of the"cultural route"of the ancient road,which is closely related to the production and life of the residents along the ancient road,and contains rich culture and wisdom,which has im-portant protection and inheritance value.Due to China's rapid urbanization and industrialization process,the set-tlements along the ancient road have been destroyed to a certain extent,and their site characteristics are in urgent need of excavation and protection.This paper takes Hongguan Village along Huirao Ancient Road as an example,and makes a quantitative analysis of its spatial characteristics through space syntax and GIS analysis.The results show that:①Hongguan Village settlement space has strong dynamics,and the aggregation center has strong to-pological integration ability and attraction;②with the increasing of search radius,Hongguan Village road network morphology gradually reflects the characteristics of continuity,in which the core area plays a particularly signifi-cant role;③the dynamic range of daily travel of settlement residents is most closely related to the data of heritage resource points.The research results provide a path and method for exploring the characteristics of settlements,and provide a new cognitive perspective for the protection and renewal of settlements along the Huirao Ancient Road.
