Forest Quality Evaluation and Management Strategy of Yubaiding State-Owned Forest Farm of Yuxi City
In order to better improve the quality of forest resources in Yubaiding State-Owned Forest Farm,ac-cording to a map data of forest resources in Yubaiding Forest Farm in 2020,several indicators reflecting forest quality(such as forest productivity quality,forest structure quality,forest land quality,etc.)were selected to estab-lish a forest quality evaluation index system and evaluation model to evaluate forest quality.The selected evalua-tion indicators fully considered the actual situation of grass-roots forest farms and the accuracy and operability of data survey.Taking sub-compartments as the scoring unit,the quality grade of each sub-compartment was evalua-ted,and the overall evaluation of forest resources quality in Yubaiding Forest Farm was made by using the number and area of statistical classification sub-compartments.According to the results of forest quality evaluation,specif-ic management countermeasures and ways to improve forest quality are put forward,which provides the basis for sustainable development of forests.The evaluation results show that the forest area of Yubaiding Forest Farm is 1819.48 hectares with Grade Ⅱ and 3455.71 hectares with Grade Ⅲ,which accounts for 99.4％of the forest area.It shows that the forest quality of Yubaiding Forest Farm is generally at the upper-middle level,with good stand growth and forest structures.There is no forest with Grade Ⅰ and Grade V forest quality,so there is much room for further improvement.
