Community Structures of Phytoplankton and Its Relationship to Environmental Factors——Taking the Nansha Sea Area of Pearl River Estuary as an Example
In order to explore the relationship between phytoplankton community structures and environmental factors in the Nansha sea area of Pearl River Estuary, phytoplankton and other environmental factors such as sea temperature, salinity and nutrient concentration in the Nansha sea area of the Pearl River Estuary were investiga-ted in October 2021(autumn)and February 2022(winter),respectively.The results show that 160 species of phyto-plankton are identified, including 96 species belonging to 38 genera of Bacillariophyceae, followed by Pyrrophyta(7 genera and 19 species),Euglenophyta(13 genera and 16 species),Chlorophyta(11 genera and 13 species),Cya-nobacteria(9 genera and 13 species),Cryptophyta(2 species)and Chrysophyta(1 species). The Bacillariophyceae is the main group, accounting for 60%of the total species. There are 8 dominant species(Y 0.02),of which 6 are Bacillariophyceae, such as Melosira granulata and Asterionella formosa. The seasonal variation of phytoplankton cell abundance is significant, with an average of 731.39× 104cells/m3 in autumn and 75.52× 104cells/m3 in winter. The average Shannon-Wiener diversity index(H')and Pielou's evenness index(J)are 2.70 and 0.57,respectively.Better relationship was found between phytoplankton abundance and active phosphate in autumn.
