Advances in the Application of the SWAT Model to Water Ecosystem Services
The assessment of ecosystem hydrological services is one of the hotspots in current research, and it is important to quantify ecosystem hydrological services. The SWAT model has become an important tool for simu-lating and predicting ecosystem hydrological services due to the advantages of effective use of geospatial data, full simulation of rainfall and hydrological processes, and the influence of multiple factors. In this paper, the principles of SWAT model are summarized. The correlation between model outputs and hydrological services is sorted out,and the types of ecosystem services are clarified.Progress in the application of SWAT in water supply, regulation, cultural and supporting services assessment is further discussed. In the future,it is suggested to deepen the appli-cation and development of SWAT in ecosystem service assessment by improving the calculation mode and strengthening the coupling between models.
