Preparation of Carbon Source by Sludge Hydrolysis and Acidification and Its Simulation Application
In order to solve the problems of lack of carbon source for nitrogen and phosphorus removal and sludge disposal in municipal wastewater plants,Volatile Fatty Acids(VFAs)were prepared by sludge hydrolysis and acid-ification in this study as a supplemental carbon source for wastewater treatment system, and the optimal sludge in-itial concentration of sludge hydrolysis device was 10,000 mg/L,and the optimal retention time was 72 h.The sludge hydrolysis supernatant could be further pre-treated by the synergistic pre-treatment with ultrasonic and magnesium hydroxide. After further pretreatment with ultrasound and magnesium hydroxide, the release of SCODCr from the sludge hydrolysis supernatant could be increased by more than 25.98%,and the reduction of ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus could be more than 29.84%and 83.96%.Finally,the sidestream sludge hydrolysis acidification device is coupled with the AOA-SBR device for simulation and application research, and the operation results show that the sludge hydrolysis supernatant can replace the external carbon source-sodium acetate by 100%,and ensure that the CODCr,ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus of the efflu-ent from the SBR device meets the Class A discharge standard(GB18918-2002),and the sludge production is re-duced by 21.29%.
