Effect of Ambient Temperature on Explosion Characteristics of Tobacco Dust-Alcohol Vapor Two-Phase System
The effects of ambient temperature on the explosion characteristics of single-phase tobacco dust and to-bacco dust-alcohol vapor two-phase system were studied experimentally by upgrading the 20L ball dust explosion test device to realize the heating and electric ignition functions. The results show that the maximum explosion pressure of single-phase tobacco dust was little affected by ambient temperature, and the maximum pressure rise rate increases linearly with the increase of temperature. The minimum ignition energy was relatively sensitive to the change of ambient temperature, and decreases with the increase of ambient temperature. There was a critical temperature jump interval. The maximum explosion pressure and maximum pressure rise rate of tobacco dust-al-cohol vapor two-phase system increase with the increase of ambient temperature, especially at low temperature stage. The minimum ignition energy decreases with the increase of ambient temperature, and the decrease was rel-atively small, but it was lower than single-phase tobacco dust. The conclusions were of great significance for the prevention and control of tobacco dust explosion in tobacco processing industry.
