Study on the Characteristics and Spatial Distribution Patterns of Ancient and Famous Trees in Zhaoqing City
Based on the census and supplementary survey data of ancient and famous trees in Zhaoqing City,this paper statistically analyzes the current status and characteristics of the resources of ancient and famous trees in Zhaoqing City.The nearest neighbor index approach for point features,alongside kernel density analysis is em-ployed to delve into the spatial distribution patterns and salient characteristics of ancient and renowned trees with-in the city of Zhaoqing.The study reveals a total of 3553 ancient and renowned trees in Zhaoqing City,comprising 5 prestigious,25 top-grade ancient,240 second-grade ancient,and 3283 third-grade ancient trees.These trees be-long to 41 families,79 genera,and a diverse array of 120 species.The dominant families are Moraceae,Sapindace-ae,Lauraceae,Fagaceae,Anacardiaceae,and Camellia.The spatial distribution characteristics of ancient and fa-mous trees in Zhaoqing City belong to the spatial agglomeration types,and there are significant differences among different jurisdictions.There are six aggregation areas with higher estimated kernel density,and the southeast area has higher spatial agglomeration than the northwest area.
