Research on Aging Renewal of Public Service Facilities Based on Accessibility Data Analysis—A Case Study of Jiangpu Old Town in Nanjing
As urbanization accelerates,the proportion of the elderly population in cities continues to rise.In older urban areas,public service facilities often exhibit a lack of diversity in their functions.The aging-friendly renova-tion of public service facilities aims to address the challenges posed by outdated infrastructure and inefficient lay-outs in old urban districts,thereby improving the quality of life and travel convenience for the elderly.Reassessing and remodeling these spaces to enhance their suitability for elderly use has become a crucial issue.This study fo-cuses on the aging-friendly renovation of public service facilities,selecting the Jiangpu Old Town area in Nanjing as the research object.By analyzing the coverage and accessibility of public facilities using ArcGIS network anal-ysis from the perspectives of efficiency and equity,this paper examines the layout and aging-friendliness of Jiang-pu Old Town's public service facilities.Based on the analysis results,the study proposes renovation strategies that address elderly walking needs,travel chains,facility accessibility,and spatial equity.Through optimizing barrier-free facilities,improving public transportation systems,rationally arranging medical and recreational facilities,and enhancing environmental design and community support,the study aims to provide a safer and more comfortable urban living environment for the elderly,thereby promoting the health and harmony of an aging society.
