Study on the Impact of Digital Economy on Household Carbon Emissions
This paper uses the carbon emission data of 31 provinces in China from 2013 to 2019 to construct a panel data model, and empirically analyzes the impact of digital economy,as a new quality productivity,on house-hold carbon emissions in China. The study finds that the digital economy has a negative impact on the carbon e-missions of Chinese households, and the result is still valid after robustness test. This effect is particularly pro-nounced for households with higher income levels, larger population sizes, and in the central region.Based on the results of empirical analysis, this paper puts forward targeted policy suggestions for the government on the effect of digital economy on low-carbon life, which not only helps to deepen the understanding of the relationship be-tween digital economy and carbon emissions, but also provides a useful reference for China to promote green and low-carbon development.
