Feature Analysis of the Seasonal Changes in Hubei Under the Background of Climate Warming
Based on the daily average temperature data from 76 national surface meteorological observation sta-tions in Hubei Province, spanning from 1960 to 2023,and in accordance with the meteorological industry standard Division of Climate Seasons, the start and end times of the four seasons were determined each year, along with their respective lengths. The average annual season lengths and average temperature for the 1960s,1970s,1980s,1990s,and the 21st century were calculated. This paper compares and analyzes the aforementioned statistics. The results indicate that spring typically begins in March, summer in May,autumn in September, and winter in No-vember.Spring and autumn in Hubei Province are shorter, while summer and winter are longer.Since the 1960s,the average temperature in Hubei Province has exhibited an overall upward trend. There is a tendency for spring and summer to arrive earlier, and for autumn and winter to be delayed in their onset.Notably, the winter season has experienced a significant reduction in length.
